Drone Dance is the third incarnation of the song. The original was composed by AK Hobbs and me for the electronic project 2 Minute Techno. The track was instrumental and far removed from the H27 version of the song. The only real connection is the title: Drone Dance. The second version was composed before Human 2.7 was conceived as a project, but much of the material from the second version found its way into both versions included on "Circuit of Heaven."

Lyrically, the song came into being after I had spent some time in the industrial club scene in the Los Angeles area. The music is good, danceable stuff, but there are so many people in the clubs who seem empty - I was one such during my time there. It occurred to me that there had to be others experiencing something similar to what I had felt, and Drone Dance was written.
